Art appraisers serve a diverse clientele, including private collectors, estate executors, art galleries, insurance companies, museums, attorneys, corporations, government agencies, artists, and art lenders.
Challenge
My long-time client had expanded her business to other cities and wanted to up her branding and marketing game, with special focus on the company website.
Role
Freelance designer and project manager, providing branding, website design, WordPress setup, website production, and SEO optimization.
Goal
Refresh the brand and create a website that helps market my client’s business as well as field frequently asked questions from potential customers.
Design
Branding
Beginning with the branding, made modifications to the colors and typefaces used to bring a more sophisticated feel that targets her high-end customers.
Next, I updated the logo options to represent my client’s new business name, SBA.
Finally, I worked with the client to select appropriate free photography of high-end art and decoration that she would likely appraise.
Website and Structure
I worked with the client’s provided written content to curate and structure a framework across 8 pages in Figma. We worked asynchronously in comments to rapidly build pages to visualize the client’s vision of a sophisticated web experience.
Website Production
Once the pages and content were finalized in Figma, I built the live site using the WordPress.org platform, writing any necessary CSS, and refining the site’s SEO to perform well in Google searches.
